چکیده

The separation of polyethylene glycols (PEGs) into single homologs by reversed-phase chromatography is investigated experimentally and theoretically. used core–shell column shown to achieve the baseline PEG up molar weights at least 5000 g/mol. A detailed study performed elucidating role operating conditions, including temperature, eluent composition, degree polymerization polymer. Applying Martin’s rule yields a simple model for retention times that holds wide range conditions. In combination with relations efficiency, conditions discussed, separations are predicted analytical-scale chromatography. Finally, approach included in an efficient process based on discrete convolution, which demonstrated predict high accuracy also advanced modes arbitrary injection profiles.

The Role of Polyethylene Glycols Dissolved in Aqueous Phase on the Extraction-Separation of Zn(II) and Pb(II) by Bis(2-ethylhexyl)phosphoric Acid

The presented study describes the solvent extraction process of Zn(II) and Pb(II) from aqueous solutions by a cation exchanger extractant named bis(2-ethylhexyl)phosphoric acid (DEHPA). The results confirm that both of the extraction efficiency and extraction selectivity depend on the employed organic diluent. The applied extractant was selective towards zinc ions; this selectivity did not depe...

Effect of Polyethylene Glycols Dissolved in Aqueous Phase on the Extraction-Separation of La(III), Eu(III) and Er(III) Ions with Bis(2-ethylhexyl)phosphoric Acid

The present work concerns on the investigation of the role of polyethylene glycols (PEGs) as masking agent for amelioration of extraction-separation of La(III), Eu(III) and Er(III) ions by the acidic extractant bis(2-ethylhexyl)phosphoric acid (DEHPA). The studied solvent extraction system is based on the combination of chelating effect of DEHPA in the organic phase on the one hand, and the bin...

Separation of Somatropin and Its Degradation Products by High-Performance Liquid Chromatography Using a Reversed-Phase Polymeric Column

The accurate prediction of protein stability is one of the most challenging goals in protein formulation and delivery. In this study, a gradient RP-HPLC method is described for the separation of human growth hormone (hGH) variants as deamidated and oxidized forms. The methodology employed a polymeric poly (styrene-co-divinylbenzene) column and a 1mL/min flow rate of a linear gradient of 0.1% v/...

Microbial degradation of polyethylene glycols.

Mono-, di-, tri-, and tetraethylene glycols and polyethylene glycols (PEG) with molecular weight up to 20,000 were degraded by soil microorganisms. A strain of Pseudomonas aeruginosa able to use a PEG of average molecular weight 20,000 was isolated from soil. Washed cells oxidized mono- and tetraethylene glycols, but O2 consumption was not detectable when such cells were incubated for short per...
